*No Muslim is afflicted with exhaustion, or sickness, or grief, or sadness, or harm, or distress (deep sorrow) or even a prick of a thorn except that Allah will expiate some of his sins due to that…* Abu Sa’eed al-Khudree and Abu Hurayrah (may Allāh be pleased with them) narrated that the Prophet (ﷺ) said, *“No Muslim is afflicted with exhaustion, or sickness, or grief, or sadness, or harm, or distress and sorrow, or even a prick of a thorn except that Allah will expiate some of his sins due to that.”* (Al-Bukhari, nos. 5641, 5642) عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ، وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ ‏ “‏ مَا يُصِيبُ الْمُسْلِمَ مِنْ نَصَبٍ وَلاَ وَصَبٍ وَلاَ هَمٍّ وَلاَ حُزْنٍ وَلاَ أَذًى وَلاَ غَمٍّ حَتَّى الشَّوْكَةِ يُشَاكُهَا، إِلاَّ كَفَّرَ اللَّهُ بِهَا مِنْ خَطَايَاهُ ‏
