_2025, Behold, I do a new thing_ *The blessing of trust* *Trusting in Times of Uncertainty* Scripture Jeremiah 17:7-8, "But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him. They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream." Reflection Life is full of uncertainties. We don't always know what's ahead, and we can't always control the circumstances of our lives. But even in the midst of uncertainty, we can trust in God. We can trust that He's in control, that He has a plan for our good, and that He'll guide us through even the toughest times. Why We Struggle to Trust in Times of Uncertainty 1. _Fear_: We're afraid of the unknown, and we're afraid of what might happen. 2. _Doubt_: We doubt God's goodness, His sovereignty, or His power. 3. _Lack of Control_: We feel like we're not in control, and that makes us anxious. How to Trust in Times of Uncertainty 1. _Focus on God's Character_: Remember that God is good, sovereign, and powerful. 2. _Look to God's Promises_: Remember that God has promised to be with us, to guide us, and to provide for us. 3. _Practice Prayer and Praise_: Take your fears, doubts, and anxieties to God in prayer, and praise Him for His goodness and sovereignty.
