*2025, Behold, I do a new thing....* *When you can't see the way* *Putting Faith into Action* Scripture 2 Kings 7:9, "Then they said to each other, 'We're not doing right. This is a day of good news and we are keeping it to ourselves. If we wait until daylight, punishment will overtake us. Let's go at once and report this to the royal palace.'" Reflection The four lepers in 2 Kings 7 were faced with a choice: to keep the good news to themselves or to share it with others. They chose to share it, and as a result, they were able to help others and bring joy and relief to those who were suffering. This is a powerful reminder that our faith is not just about what we believe, but also about how we put those beliefs into action. When we put our faith into action, we can make a real difference in the lives of those around us. Additional Scripture - James 2:26, "As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead." - Matthew 25:31-46, "When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne...Then he will say to those on his left, 'Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not visit me.'" Prayer Dear Lord, help me to put my faith into action. Give me the courage to share the good news with others and to make a real difference in the lives of those around me. Action Step Take a few minutes to reflect on how you can put your faith into action. Are there any areas where you can share the good news with others or make a real difference in the lives of those around you?
