_2025, Behold, I do a new thing....._ *Overcoming fear and doubt* *Keeping Our Eyes on Jesus* Scripture Matthew 14:22-33, "But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, 'Lord, save me!' Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. 'You of little faith,' he said, 'why did you doubt?'" Reflection When Peter kept his eyes on Jesus, he was able to walk on water. But when he looked at the waves, he began to sink. Today, take a moment to reflect on where your eyes are focused. Are you looking at the waves of fear and doubt, or are you keeping your eyes on Jesus? Why Keep Our Eyes on Jesus? Keeping our eyes on Jesus helps us to: 1. *Stay focused*: When we keep our eyes on Jesus, we stay focused on Him and His power, rather than getting distracted by our fears and doubts. 2. *Build faith*: Keeping our eyes on Jesus helps us to build our faith and trust in Him. 3. *Overcome fear and doubt*: When we keep our eyes on Jesus, we're able to overcome fear and doubt and walk in faith. How to Keep Our Eyes on Jesus 1. *Read scripture*: Read scripture that reminds you of Jesus' power and presence, such as Matthew 14:22-33 or Psalm 23:4. 2. *Pray*: Take a few minutes to pray and ask Jesus to help you keep your eyes on Him. 3. *Worship*: Worship Jesus through music or other forms of expression, and ask Him to help you stay focused on Him. My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth." Prayer Dear Lord, help me to keep my eyes on You. Give me the faith to trust that You are always in control, even when the waves of fear and doubt are crashing against me.
