*Important Notice – Rainy Day Attire & Appreciation Day Celebration* *Dear Parents,* Please be advised that on rainy days, learners are permitted to wear gumboots. If you are purchasing gumboots, kindly ensure they are either black or navy blue. However, if your child already owns colourful gumboots, they may still wear them on such days. We kindly request parents to communicate with transport providers to ensure that learners are collected promptly from the school gates, especially on rainy days. It is deeply concerning to see our Grade R and Foundation Phase learners waiting at the Engen Garage on Nirvana Road and the outskirts of Lenasia as late as 3:30pm to 4:00pm in the afternoon. At that time, these young children should be safe at home. As parents, you are responsible for ensuring that the transporters you hire collect your child on time and directly from the school gates. *Appreciation Day* We will be celebrating *Appreciation Day* on *Friday, 21 February 2025*. Learners may dress in fancy clothes at a cost of *R10*. As part of this special day, we will be selling *affirmation mugs* and other small items that learners can purchase to show appreciation for someone special in their lives. The purpose of Appreciation Day is to instill gratitude in our children. As all religious teachings emphasize, we should *"give thanks in all circumstances, for this is the will of the Almighty."* Items will be available for purchase, ranging from *R5 to R40*.
