Unpredictable rains, extreme heat, and shifting seasons—#climatechange is severely hitting India’s poor small holder women farmers - making thier lives and livelihoods unsustainable. Therefore through #sewa’s #buildingcleanerskies campaign and #agriculturecampaign, women farmers are being equipped with the knowledge and tools to make their agriculture climate resilient against the increasingly frequent and intense climate shocks. The challenges are many—loss of crops, financial instability, and increased dependence on expensive chemical fertilizers that further degrade the soil. But SEWA is working relentlessly to change this.
