Karachi *Press Release* *20 February 2024* PTI Karachi President Raja Azhar filed a court petition against the police. Raja Azhar had filed an application in Malir court against DSP and SHO Sohrab Goth, Raja Azhar had filed a petition on police brutality and unjustified arrest of workers. Aamir Farooqui was appointed as an inquiry officer. DIG Aamir Farooqui summoned PTI Karachi President Raja Azhar with evidence that Raja Azhar, along with his lawyer Advocate Khalid Mehmood reached DIG Aamir Farooqui's office. Raja Azhar presented all the evidence and videos of police brutality to DIG Aamir Farooqui, on which DIG Aamir Farooqui ordered to produce more independent sources of witnesses. Raja Azhar's position was that we have presented evidence of police brutality of Sohrab Goth police and will present more evidence soon as per the court order. DSP Chaudhry Sohail SHO Minister Khoso and other police personnel targeted me and the workers for humiliation. It is hoped that DIG Aamir Farooqui will take legal action against the involved police officers soon. Police have always wronged PTI workers. We will not tolerate them anymore. I hope that the DIG will take action soon on the orders of the judiciary. If the rule of justice is established, injustice will also end.
