*Background of the Story:* When we started the book of Matthew, we learned about a man named John, who fully understood his purpose and went on to baptise Christ. He knew this was his purpose. However, in a turn of events in Chapter 11, John finds himself in prison. While sitting in his cell, i think he begin to wonder why he is in chains when his purpose was to lead others to Christ. Shouldn’t he be out doing God’s work? Seeking clarity, he sends his disciples to Jesus to ask if He is indeed the promised Messiah or if they should look for someone else.
