Speaking Jesus ✝️ Daily Word 📖

John’s situation shows that being called to serve does not guarantee an easy path. It’s important to understand that being a Christian does not ensure a smooth journey. There are preachers who lie that if you come to their churches, they will eliminate your problems, there's no such promise in the Bible. This leads to believers seeking solutions rather than seeking God Himself, and that's the Church we have today, solution seekers.
Who do we think we are? If John, who was called to prepare the way for Christ, could suffer to the extent of imprisonment and ultimately beheading, what makes you think Christians are exempted from suffering?
I am not saying suffering is a good thing, but it's important to acknowledge that it can happen to anyone. This doesn't mean God is absent. John, while imprisoned, sought answers just like we do. It’s natural to seek an understanding of things. What we learn here is that we are not exempted from suffering, just because we are Christian. But as Christians we need to know that God is aware of all circumstances, and we must trust that His will, will prevail even when we struggle.
Even in times of suffering, our faith should remain steadfast, like John, he didn't lose his Faith. We don’t need to abandon our beliefs due to life's challenges. We must remember that our ultimate goal is heaven, not just an exciting life on earth. We keep our focus on Jesus, even in the midst of suffering.
