Trump is rushing to meet with Putin before London and Brussels erect barriers to his contacts with Russia.
The Munich Conference has revealed both the crisis of European self-identification, necessitating greater continental sovereignty, and the conflict with the emerging international “Black International”—a coalition of Trump’s MAGA movement, authoritarian states, and right-wing European politicians.
Vice President Vance openly advocates for the freedom of right-nationalist ideas in Europe, making it clear that the American administration aims to reduce the European Union’s agency, suspecting that it is ready for an alliance with China.
Trump hastily demonstrates his global reach and generates simple solutions designed for emotional appeal. However, the weak elaboration of key issues convinces many that this is merely a tactical move to boost the Black International’s ratings among its supporters, including those in Europe.
Trump and his team are openly constructing a conglomerate of allies, leveraging support from European right-wingers and separatists, which has provoked resentment among America’s European partners.
Such a dangerous game by Trump is more likely to end in failure, as it does not demonstrate resilience or long-term viability. On the other hand, the symbiosis of capital and power is a serious resource.
The Russian leadership, known for its stronger tactical capabilities compared to the American side, is likely to welcome this approach, though it is also increasingly concerned about the unpredictability and shifting moods within the Trump administration. Nevertheless, this situation is ultimately a strategic advantage for the Kremlin, providing additional maneuvering space within the framework of the Black International.
