President Donald Trump’s tariff threats and annexationist rhetoric toward Canada has soured Canadians’ attitudes about the U.S. and its new leader, according to a new Pollara poll. A majority of Canadian respondents say they now view the U.S. in a negative light after Trump’s election win — a reversal from the sentiment a year ago, the survey of over 1,500 adult Canadians found.
