A Jubilee traditionally occurs every 50 years, symbolizing liberation, restoration, and a fresh start. In most instances it is held on the 49th year to mark seven times seven cycles of Biblical Sabbatical years. Our coming Jubilee will serve as a powerful reminder of resilience and a renewed commitment to progress, emphasizing that our journey is not just about the past but also about envisioning a prosperous future for all Zimbabweans. Drawing from the Biblical story of Joshua, who led the Israelites into the Promised Land, we see parallels in our own journey. Many stood opposed to Joshua’s Vision, failing to enter Canaan due to their lack of faith. Today, those who oppose our Visionary Leadership may similarly miss out on the blessings that lie ahead. Respect for our Leaders and their Vision is crucial for both National and individual progress. As we celebrate this significant milestone, we recognize the symbolism of a Jubilee: a time for healing, forgiveness, and the restoration of community. However, the path to Jubilee is not without challenges. Economic hardships, political opposition, and the lingering remnants of colonialism may test our resolve. These remnants manifest in enduring economic structures that favor certain groups, social inequalities rooted in colonial hierarchies, and cultural influences that overshadow local traditions. The ongoing struggles with land reform and governance reflect the historical injustices that continue to affect our society. We must walk by faith and resist unnecessary enticements that serve as temptations, designed by our erstwhile enemies of National progress to divide and rule us. These distractions can lead to our downfall, but with our tried and tested Braveheart and the Leadership of Veteran Statesman HE President Dr ED Mnangagwa, the Great Republic of Zimbabwe will never be a colony again. Together, we can stand firm against these divisive forces and work towards a united and prosperous future. Yet, it is essential to remember that the path may be tough, but it is necessary for the betterment of our Nation. Austerity measures may be challenging, but they are crucial for separating the wheat from the chaff, allowing only what truly belongs to our future to endure. As we prepare for Jubilee, we acknowledge that the winds of change are sweeping through, dismantling the walls of imperialism, while those who resist our Leader will find themselves scattered. Let us remain patient and supportive of President Mnangagwa’s Vision for the Great Republic of Zimbabwe. Opposition may rise, but history teaches us that true Vision prevails. Those calling for change should understand that transformation begins with themselves.
