*boys-dzamadara-betterbrands-partnership-prioritizes-health-safety-in-penhalonga-mining-operation* *©️ Manicaland National LIVE NEWS updates* | Mon May 19, 2025 by _Maxwell _*Kalithengiswailizwe*_Haitengeswinyika Teedzai_ *Boys dzaMdara puts house in order—temporarily halts operations to set up healthcare facilities in Penhalonga* *PENHALONGA*—For the first time in the history of artisanal mining, the Boys dzaMdara Manicaland chapter, which has partnered with Hon Scott Sakupwanya’s BetterBrands, has temporarily halted mining operations at its mining site in order to establish provisional healthcare facilities at the Rezende Shaft in the Redwing-Penhalonga mining concession. The move aims to prevent potential disease outbreaks and ensure a safe working environment for miners. The initiative follows a mining agreement between the Ruling Revolutionary ZANU PF Affiliate and BetterBrands, designed to mobilize resources to defend, popularize, and preserve the legacy of His Excellency President Dr ED Mnangagwa beyond 2030. Boys dzaMdara Manicaland Provincial Chair, Mr Trymore ‘Chimbongora’ Bhobho, emphasized the importance of healthcare in mining operations. “Healthcare is our topmost priority. We have a health department here to ensure our community at Rezende Shaft, allocated by the President through BetterBrands, leads by example. Nyika inovakwa (nesu) nevene vayo, and having toilets here shows our resolve to uphold President Mnangagwa’s Vision,” he said. Mining operations were temporarily suspended for the past three days and expected to resume today, as Boys dzaMdara sought to at least meet minimum health, safety and environmental standard requirements. Boys dzaMdara Chief of Security, Mr Anywell ‘Master Mutinhima,’ stated that a 300-meter perimeter fence donated by popular Penhalonga successful artisanal miner known as Mr Rambo was erected to enhance accountability, transparency, and operational efficiency. “This ensures our mining activities feed into Fidelity Printers, with an agreed percentage of gold going to BetterBrands,” he added. Secretary-General of Boys dzaMdara Manicaland Mr John Kanyikwanaka confirmed the completion of six functional latrines, while ongoing repegging of mining sites ensures proper shaft spacing to minimize accidents. “We temporarily halted operations to prioritize community safety first,” said Mr John Kanyikwanaka. Legal Chair Mr Chikomborero Jasiele stressed the need for orderly mining practices, stating that as ambassadors of the Great Republic of Zimbabwe, Boys dzaMdara must set an exemplary standard. Vice Chair Mr Vernice Dhliwayo reinforced disciplinary measures, warning against alcohol and substance or drug abuse, which could lead to Boys dzaMdara terminating mining rights for unruly elements within its mining area. Provincial Chair Mr Bhobho went further to thank BetterBrands, the Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution in the OPC — Office of the President and Cabinet and Mutasa South Member of Parliament Hon Advocate Misheck ‘Pakuru’ Mugadza, and ZANU PF Provincial Chair Cde Tawanda ‘Gomoguru’ Mukodza for their unequivocal support in preserving President Mnangagwa’s legacy in the Eastern Region of the country. The mining rights were secured by Boys dzaMdara National Chair Mr Hopewell Chako, alongside a high-profile National Executive Committee comprising Mr Edward Maenda the Secretary/General, Mr Alexander ‘Scorpion’ Muzanenhamo the First National Executive Member, Mr Gladman Dhliwayo a patron and several other senior officials. The group will hold its annual National Conference on 30-31 May 2025 at Village Inn Hotel in Nyanga (is Supa) South Constituency, which will be the host venue under Politburo Member Hon Supa Collins Mandiwanzira. ⚠️ *world-metrology-day-commemorations-highlight-president-mnangagwas-vision-for-trade-justice* *News from Queens Hall, Mutare | 20 May 2025*_Maxwell _*Kalithengiswailizwe*_Haitengeswinyika Teedzai_ *Accurate measurements key to achieving upper-middle-income-status-by-2030-Advocate Mugadza* *MUTARE* – The Great Republic of Zimbabwe's ongoing transformation under the Second Republic took a significant step forward today as Manicaland Province commemorated World Metrology Day at Queens Hall, with senior government officials and business leaders emphasizing the critical role of precise measurements in achieving Upper-Middle-Income Status by 2030. The event, marking the 150th anniversary of the Metre Convention, brought together key stakeholders to examine how standardized measurements support President Mnangagwa's Devolution agenda and NDS1 — National Development Strategy One. Against this backdrop of celebrating a century-and-a-half of international measurement cooperation, the Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution delivered a powerful message about the Great Republic of Zimbabwe's development trajectory. Speaking through his representative Mr. Munyaradzi Rubaya, Economic Affairs Director in the Office of the President and Cabinet, Hon. Advocate Misheck 'Pakuru' Mugadza the Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution and Member of Parliament for Mutasa South Constituency connected the day's commemorations to National priorities: "This celebration aligns perfectly with His Excellency President Dr ED Mnangagwa's Devolution mantra of leaving no one and no place behind. Our National Development Strategy One recognizes metrology as foundational for economic transformation." The Minister's address set the tone for discussions on how the Great Republic of Zimbabwe's enhanced focus on measurement accuracy under the Second Republic has created tangible benefits across sectors. This year's theme, "Measurements for all times, for all people," strongly brings to light Government's commitment to inclusive development. Mr Kupukani Masunungure, Provincial Director for Ministry of Industry and Commerce, provided technical context: "Through President Mnangagwa's leadership, we've strengthened our trade measurement systems to protect both businesses and consumers. Proper measurements prevent economic distortions that could derail our progress toward UMIS." Trade Measures Regional Inspector Mr Farai Taruwona explained the practical implications: "When measurements are inaccurate, it's a form of economic sabotage against ordinary citizens. Our enforcement efforts ensure fairness in every marketplace across Manicaland Province." Women's Affairs Director Mr Gabriel Jaji highlighted the gender dimensions: "Accurate measurements particularly benefit women traders and entrepreneurs who form the backbone of our informal economy. This is empowerment in practice." From the business community, the RAZ — Retailers Association of Zimbabwe Provincial Director Mr Chiromwaamba Matworwenyu stated: "Standardized measurements create trust between retailers and customers, fostering the formalization President Mnangagwa champions." Mr Kudzai Makore of the Chamber of SMEs added: "For small businesses, proper measurements mean fair competition and protection from exploitation. This is how we build an inclusive UMIS economy." The commemorations also bring to mind the 2019 redefinition of measurement standards, including the replacement of the International Prototype Kilogram with Planck constant-based measurements – advancements that the Great Republic of Zimbabwe has embraced under President Mnangagwa's Leadership to align with global best practices. As the National Development Strategy One continues to guide economic policy, today's event reinforced how robust metrology systems contribute to the Second Republic's tangible achievements in trade justice and economic empowerment by 2030. #WorldMetrologyDay #Vision2030 #TradeJustice #SecondRepublic //ENDS// ______________________________ Join me on my socials; Key National and Regional Initiatives 🇿🇼Head of State of the Great Republic of Zimbabwe and Current SADC Summit Chair: His Excellency President Dr. Emmerson Dambudzo (ED) Mnangagwa The Great Republic of Zimbabwe National Vision 2030: Towards a prosperous and empowered upper middle-income society by 2030 SADC Regional Vision 2050: Promoting innovation to unlock opportunities for sustained economic growth and development towards an industrialized SADC Follow Us on Social Media x.com (formerly Twitter) Accounts: - [SADC for ED](https://x.com/sadc4ed?s=21) - [Maxwell Teedzai](https://x.com/maxwellteedzai?s=21) - [News MTBN TV](https://x.com/newsmtbntv?s=21) - [Zim Atlas Desk](https://x.com/zimatlas_desk?s=21) - [Presidency Zimbabwe](https://x.com/presidencyzim1?s=21) - [GRZ Girls Amnandi](https://x.com/grzgirlsamnandi?s=21) Facebook Accounts: - [Facebook Link 1](https://www.facebook.com/share/163cU4zEYq/?mibextid=wwXIfr) - [Facebook Link 2](https://www.facebook.com/share/1M5ZEbsGiV/?mibextid=wwXIfr) - [Facebook Link 3](https://www.facebook.com/share/12JC243UZ94/?mibextid=wwXIfr) WhatsApp Channels: - [WhatsApp Channel 1](https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029VaCHZKSHVvTk6ZqLnB3v) - [WhatsApp Channel 2](https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029VadE4PqLNSZxRd7eU30a) - [WhatsApp Channel 3](https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029Vb3Gg6cHQbS3J54OnB0p) - [WhatsApp Channel 4](https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029VatH0JlAojYn9S3s7H3o) - [WhatsApp Channel 5](https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029Vb0xZr4EFeXnmgH4Kf1d) YouTube Channel: - [MTBN TV YouTube](https://youtu.be/zW8WmduWiJU) Website: - [MTBN TV Website](https://mtbntv.wordpress.com) Tagline: Bridging voices – Fostering unity. This event celebrated HE President Dr ED Mnangagwa and the Ruling Revolutionary ZANU PF's majority lead in the 2023 General Elections. With their contributions, the trio purchased eight high-capacity egg incubators for a total of USD 2,240, which will support the Provincial Livestock Hatchery Initiative in Manicaland’s eight Districts. Cde Mukodza, addressing the political significance, stated: “This initiative demonstrates ZANU PF's unwavering commitment to women's empowerment as part of our revolutionary legacy. The Party stands firmly behind HE President Dr ED Mnangagwa's Vision of creating an inclusive economy where women lead development." He further noted, “These incubators represent more than equipment - they are tools for fulfilling the Party's promise of prosperity for all." Hon Sam Matema, wearing his dual hats as MP and Party Spokesperson, remarked: “In Buhera and across Manicaland, we're witnessing the Second Republic's promises materialize. This project perfectly illustrates how Government and Party work hand-in-glove to deliver development." He added, “As the Party's voice in the Province, I assure all beneficiaries that ZANU PF will continue championing such life-changing initiatives." Hon Trish Kundhlande, a champion of women's rights, remarked: “For too long, rural women have been excluded from economic opportunities. Today, we change that narrative." She added, “With these hatcheries, we're not just producing eggs—we're hatching prosperity." Cde Mercy Sacco echoed the sentiment: “The Women's League is more united that ever before in its resolve to economically emancipate women and stands firmly behind initiatives that uplift our communities. This project will create jobs and improve livelihoods." She also stated, “When women thrive, the Nation thrives—this is the essence of the Second Republic's development agenda under HE President Dr ED Mnangagwa and we will make sure that we deliver on President Mnangagwa and our Ruling Revolutionary Party’s 2023 electoral promises." Debra Chiweshe, a representative of Zimunya-Marange District, expressed gratitude: “Our women are ready to work hard. This initiative will not only feed families but also reduce poverty in our district." The hatchery project is set to enhance food and nutrition security while combating the six major childhood killer diseases especially malnutrition. With strong attendance from all eight Districts of Manicaland, the event reaffirmed Government's commitment to gender equality and sustainable development in the Great Republic of Zimbabwe. Aligned with the NDS1 — National Development Strategy, this initiative reinforces the Second Republic's dedication to breaking economic barriers for women, ensuring their full participation in the journey toward Upper-Middle-Income-Status enclave by 2030. The collaborative approach between Government Administration and Party structures ensures effective implementation and monitoring of this transformative project across Manicaland Province. #WomenEmpowerment #Devolution #NDS1 #UpperMiddleIncome2030 #ManicalandDevelopment //ENDS// ______________________________ Join me on my socials; Key National and Regional Initiatives 🇿🇼Head of State of the Great Republic of Zimbabwe and Current SADC Summit Chair: His Excellency President Dr. Emmerson Dambudzo (ED) Mnangagwa The Great Republic of Zimbabwe National Vision 2030: Towards a prosperous and empowered upper middle-income society by 2030 SADC Regional Vision 2050: Promoting innovation to unlock opportunities for sustained economic growth and development towards an industrialized SADC Follow Us on Social Media x.com (formerly Twitter) Accounts: - [SADC for ED](https://x.com/sadc4ed?s=21) - [Maxwell Teedzai](https://x.com/maxwellteedzai?s=21) - [News MTBN TV](https://x.com/newsmtbntv?s=21) - [Zim Atlas Desk](https://x.com/zimatlas_desk?s=21) - [Presidency Zimbabwe](https://x.com/presidencyzim1?s=21) - [GRZ Girls Amnandi](https://x.com/grzgirlsamnandi?s=21) Facebook Accounts: - [Facebook Link 1](https://www.facebook.com/share/163cU4zEYq/?mibextid=wwXIfr) - [Facebook Link 2](https://www.facebook.com/share/1M5ZEbsGiV/?mibextid=wwXIfr) - [Facebook Link 3](https://www.facebook.com/share/12JC243UZ94/?mibextid=wwXIfr) WhatsApp Channels: - [WhatsApp Channel 1](https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029VaCHZKSHVvTk6ZqLnB3v) - [WhatsApp Channel 2](https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029VadE4PqLNSZxRd7eU30a) - [WhatsApp Channel 3](https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029Vb3Gg6cHQbS3J54OnB0p) - [WhatsApp Channel 4](https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029VatH0JlAojYn9S3s7H3o) - [WhatsApp Channel 5](https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029Vb0xZr4EFeXnmgH4Kf1d) YouTube Channel: - [MTBN TV YouTube](https://youtu.be/zW8WmduWiJU) Website: - [MTBN TV Website](https://mtbntv.wordpress.com) Tagline: Bridging voices – Fostering unity.
