while-critics-miss-the-point-the-presidential-war-veterans-fund-is-roaring-into-life-in-manicaland _On the fast lane to 2030 by Maxwell Haitengeswinyika Teedzai_ *The PWVF: A Small Step for Some, a Giant Leap for War Veterans* | Sat Feb 15, 2025 ```In life, they say, one man’s meat is another man’s poison. Beauty, after all, lies in the eye of the beholder. Political achievements, no matter how transformative, will always face criticism from those who thrive on negativity. It is a sad truth that even when Leaders do immense good for humanity, there remains a small, unhappy corner of the world that habitually criticizes every effort. These critics, who have never lifted a finger to help their own kind, seem to exist solely to undermine progress. The PWVF — Presidential War Veterans Fund is a monumental gesture of gratitude to those who sacrificed everything for the Liberation of the Great Republic of Zimbabwe. Yet, there are those who dismiss it as an unnecessary precedent, labeling it a bribe and a waste of National resources. Such critics fail to grasp that this Fund is a lifeline for War Veterans and their families. As the adage goes, _Chembere mukadzi hazvienzani nekurara mugota_— half a loaf is better than nothing. Even a small gesture of support is far better than abandoning those who fought for our freedom. Supporters of HE President Dr ED Mnangagwa and the Second Republic’s National Development Agenda 2030 and who the majority voting constituency in the Great Republic of Zimbabwe are happy that the $1.5 million Presidential War Veterans Fund, spearheaded by Dr Tempter Paul Tungwarara, has finally reached Manicaland Province. This Region holds a pivotal place in the history of the Great Republic of Zimbabwe, particularly during the armed struggle against colonial Rhodesia. Its rugged terrain and dense forests provided a strategic haven for guerrilla fighters, enabling them to train and operate beyond the reach of colonial forces far into neighboring Great Republic of Mozambique and the nether friendly Nations in Southern Africa and across the Indian Ocean. Manicaland’s legacy of resistance and political activism during the 1960s cemented its role as a stronghold for Nationalist movements. Leaders from this region mobilized communities and built networks that were instrumental in the fight for independence. Establishing the Fund in Manicaland is a strategic and symbolic decision. It acknowledges the region’s historical significance and honors the sacrifices of those who fought against a brutal colonial system. This initiative not only pays tribute to their courage but also seeks to reignite the spirit of unity and resilience that defined the Liberation struggle. By focusing on Manicaland, the Government reaffirms its commitment to addressing the needs of War Veterans while fostering development in a Region that was central to the fight for freedom. Vision 2030, like the First and Second Umvukelas, is a complex Revolution. The Commander-in-Chief of the Zimbabwe Defence Forces, HE President Dr.m ED Mnangagwa, is more than equal to the task. He stands ready to confront opposition madness with unwavering resolve. Vision 2030 is unstoppable, and any attempt to derail it is as futile as trying to extinguish a fire with kerosene. Critics of President Mnangagwa’s Leadership would do well to recognize the transformative power of this Vision. Today, Dr Tempter Paul Tungwarara will launch the $1.5 million War Veterans Fund in Makoni West, reaffirming President Mnangagwa’s commitment to uplifting over 30,000 War Veterans. This initiative, which includes the Presidential War Vets Borehole Drilling Scheme, provides essential resources and support to those who gave everything for the Nation. President Mnangagwa’s Vision 2030 is a blueprint for prosperity and sustainability in the Great Republic of Zimbabwe. Together, we honor our heroes and build a future worthy of their sacrifices.``` #edmylifepresident #uaestatevisitloading #pwvfund #tradeandinvestment #africanunion #sadc #supportourheroes #thegreatrepublicofzimbabweprosperity
