*in-case-you-missed-this-news* _On the fast lane to 2030 by Maxwell Haitengeswinyika Teedzai_ *Honoring Legacy: A Tribute to Sekuru Kashiri* | Thurs Feb 20, 2025 In a solemn moment of remembrance, Hon Vice President General (Rtd) Dr CGDN Chiwenga accompanied by Advocate Misheck Mugadza the Min of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution and Member of Parliament for Mutasa South Constituency, was in Mutare yesterday to pay his respects at the funeral of Sekuru Leonard “Mwatambandini” Kashiri, a distinguished figure who served as Minister of Defence and Ruling Revolutionary ZANU PF Party Chairman. The gathering was not just a farewell but a poignant reminder of the legacies that shape our great Nation. Sekuru Kashiri was more than a leader; he was a pillar of strength, a guiding force in the political landscape of the Great Republic of Zimbabwe. As the father-in-law of Hon Muchinguri-Kashiri, his influence extended beyond politics into the heart of family and community. His contributions to our Nation’s defense and governance connect deeply, and his passing leaves a void that will be felt by many. As we honor his memory, let us reflect on the values he embodied—dedication, resilience, and a relentless pursuit of progress for the people of Zimbabwe. In moments like these, we are reminded of the importance of unity and the enduring bonds that connect us all. Honourable OCZ Muchinguri-Kashiri hails from the Province of Manicaland and is the country’s Minister of Defence and one of the Great Republic of Zimbabwe’s most influential female figures in the country’s political arena. She is also the National Ruling Revolutionary ZANU PF Party National Chair. A Church service was conducted in Sakubva before the burial, yesterday. #tribute #sekurukashiri #greatrepublicofzimbabwe #honoringlegacy #unity #nationalstrength
