The African National Congress, South Africa's ruling party, is underperforming at both the national and local municipality levels. The party's lack of leadership, vision, accountability, and pervasive corruption are major concerns. I recently attended a presentation on service delivery in Protea South, but unfortunately, no concrete actions or implementations followed. This is aclear example of the ANC's propensity for making empty promises and providing false hope to the community.
