There is this very disturbing suicide video of #manavsharma surfacing everywhere and now another video by Manav's wife Nikita has come up as clarification or defence to the allegations on her because of which there's an FIR of abetment to suicide lodged by the UP police. One thing common to all these #husbandsuicide videos is that all of them had nobody, no platform where they could go and they be heard without being judged at the first place. They wouldn't share much with their family as they don't want to give them stress, work places doesn't have space for men discussing or having such issues, laws do not protect men when they are victim. Constituting a body like National commission for Men can play a vital role in filling these gaps and more but so far the demand for a rashtriye purush aayog has been brushed off or laughed at, when discussed in the parliament. It's time this demand should be taken seriously without fear of any feminist loby, a committee should be formed to dwell into the possibilities.
