Zimbabwe is developing its own Aquaculture Framework, and this survey validates data and insights under the FISH4ACP countries project. FISH4ACP collaborates with the government to address challenges in the aquaculture sector.
The FAO found the Zimbabwean blueprint to require minimal corrections and consequently extended financial support for aquaculture production in the country.
The five-year value chain development program (2020-2025) is implemented by the FAO, with funding from the European Union (EU) and Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
