Japan is expanding its medical assistance program for Ukrainian servicemen injured in combat, the Ministry of Defense of Japan announced.
In addition to the Central Hospital of the Self-Defense Forces, where Ukrainian servicemen have been undergoing rehabilitation since June 2023, the program now includes the hospital of the National Military Medical College of the Ministry of Defense of Japan.
This expansion will allow more Ukrainian defenders to receive the necessary medical assistance. Applications for the first patients at the new hospital are scheduled for the end of March 2025.
“The Ministry of Defense and the Self-Defense Forces will continue to provide maximum support to Ukraine in close cooperation with the international community,” the Ministry of Defense of Japan stated.
