අද (23) පෙරවරුවේ මහනුවර ඓතිහාසික දළදා මාළිගාව වෙත ගොස් දළදා සමිදුන් වැඳ පුදාගෙන ආශිර්වාද ලබා ගතිමි. අනතුරුව මල්වතු මහා විහාරය වෙතද පැමිණි මා, මල්වතු මහා විහාරපාර්ශ්වයේ මහානායක අතිපූජ්‍ය තිබ්බටුවාවේ ශ්‍රී සිද්ධාර්ථ සුමංගලාභිධාන හිමිපාණන් වහන්සේ බැහැදැක සුව දුක් විමසා කෙටි පිළිසඳරක නිරත වූ අතර උන්වහන්සේ ප්‍රමුඛ මහා සංඝරත්නය මෙහිදී සෙත් පිරිත් සජ්ජායනා කර මා වෙත ආශිර්වාද පළ කළහ. පසුව අස්ගිරි මහා විහාරය වෙත පැමිණි මා, අස්ගිරි මහා විහාර පාර්ශ්වයේ මහානායක අතිපූජ්‍ය වරකාගොඩ ශ්‍රී ඥානරතන හිමිපාණන් වහන්සේ බැහැදැක උන්වහන්සේ සමඟ කෙටි පිළිසඳරක නිරත වීමි. අස්ගිරි පාර්ශ්වයේ අනුනායක හිමිවරුන් ප්‍රමුඛ කාරක සංඝ සභික ස්වාමින් වහන්සේලා මෙම අවස්ථාවට වැඩම කර සිටි අතර මහා සංඝරත්නය සෙත් පිරිත් සජ්ජායනා කර මා වෙත ආශිර්වාද පළ කළහ. අනතුරුව මාධ්‍යට අදහස් දක්වමින් මා සඳහන් කළේ, සාමාන්‍ය පොදු මහජනතාව වෙනුවෙන් විශේෂ දළදා ප්‍රදර්ශනයක් මෙම සිංහල දෙමළ අලුත් අවුරුද්දෙන් පසුව පැවැත්වීමට කටයුතු කරන බවයි. ඒ පිළිබඳ අද මල්වතු, අස්ගිරි මහා නා හිමිවරුන් සමඟ සාකච්ඡා කළ බවත්, මධ්‍යම පළාත් ආණ්ඩුකාර, මහනුවර දිස්ත්‍රික් ලේකම් ඇතුළු රාජ්‍ය නිලධාරීන්ගේ සහ ඓතිහාසික දළදා මාළිගාවේ දියවඩන නිලමේවරයාගේ මැදිහත්වීමෙන් ඊට අදාළ කටයුතු සූදානම් කිරීමට එකඟ වූ බවත් මම සඳහන් කළෙමි. තවද මාධ්‍යවේදීන් කළ විමසීමකට ප්‍රතිචාර දක්වමින් මා සඳහන් කළේ රටේ ජාතික ආරක්ෂාවට කිසිදු තර්ජනයක් මතුව නොමැති බවයි. පාතාල කණ්ඩායම් අතර ගැටුම් නිර්මාණය වුවත්, එය පොදු මහජනතාවගේ ආරක්ෂාවට ගැටලුවක් වී නැති බව සඳහන් කළ මා මෙතෙක් දේශපාලන රැකවරණය මත වර්ධනය වු පාතාලය මුළුමනින්ම මැඩ පැවැත්විමට වත්මන් රජය කටයුතු කරන බවද අවධාරණය කළෙමි. එමෙන්ම පළාත් පාලන මැතිවරණය ඉතා ඉක්මණින් පැවැත්වීම රජයේද අපේක්ෂාව බව සඳහන් කළ මා පළාත් පාලන මැතිවරණය පැවැත්වීම සම්බන්ධව මැතිවරණ කොමිසමට කිසිදු නීතිමය බාධාවක් නොමැති බවත්, ඒ සඳහා අවශ්‍ය මුදල්ද රජය වෙන් කර ඇති බවත් සඳහන් කළෙමි. මැතිවරණ කොමිසම විසින් ඒ සඳහා කඩිනමින් දින නියම කරනු ඇතැයිද මම විශ්වාසය පළ කළෙමි. අමාත්‍ය සමන්ත විද්‍යාරත්න, නියෝජ්‍ය අමාත්‍ය වෛද්‍ය ප්‍රසන්න ගුණසේන, නියෝජ්‍ය අමාත්‍ය වෛද්‍ය හංසක විජයමුණි, මහනුවර දිස්ත්‍රික්පාර්ලිමේන්තු මන්ත්‍රීනි තුෂාරි ජයසිංහ, දියවඩන නිලමේ ප්‍රදීප් නිලංග දෑල බණ්ඩාර යන මහත්ම මහත්මීහු ඇතුළු පිරිසක් මෙම අවස්ථාවට එක්ව සිටියහ. வரலாற்றுச் சிறப்புமிக்க கண்டி தலதா மாளிகையை இன்று (23) தரிசித்தேன். அது தொடர்பில் மல்வத்து, அஸ்கிரிய பீடாதிபதிகளுடன் கலந்துரையாடியதாகவும், மத்திய மாகாண ஆளுநர், கண்டி மாவட்டச் செயலாளர் உள்ளிட்ட அரசாங்க அதிகாரிகள் மற்றும் தலதா மாளிகையின் தியவடன நிலமே ஆகியோர் இணைந்து அதற்கான ஏற்பாடுகளை செய்வதற்கு இணங்கியதையும் தெரிவித்தேன். மல்வத்து மகா விகாரைக்குச் சென்று மல்வத்து மகா விகாரையின் மகாநாயக்க திப்படுவாவே ஸ்ரீ சித்தார்த்த சுமங்கல தேரரை சந்தித்து நலன் விசாரித்ததுடன், சிறிது நேரம் கலந்துரையாடினேன். அவர் தலைமையிலான மகா சங்கத்தினர் செத்,பிரித் பாராயணம் செய்து எனக்கு ஆசி வழங்கினர். பின்னர் அஸ்கிரிய மகா விகாரைக்கு சென்றபோது, அஸ்கிரிய மகா விகாரையின் வண. வரகாகொட ஸ்ரீ ஞானரத்ன தேரரை சந்தித்து ஆசி பெற்றுக் கொண்டதுடன் சிறிது நேரம் கலந்துரையாடினேன். அஸ்கிரிய பீடத்தின் அனுநாயக்கர்கள் மற்றும் சங்கச் செயற்குழு உறுப்பினர்களும் இதன் போது கலந்து கொண்டிருந்ததுடன், மகா சங்கத்தினர் செத் பிரித் பாராயணம் செய்து எனக்கு ஆசிர்வாதம் வழங்கினர். அதனையடுத்து ஊடகவியலாளர்கள் எழுப்பிய கேள்விக்கு பதிலளித்த ஜனாதிபதி அநுர குமார திசாநாயக்க, நாட்டின தேசிய பாதுகாப்புக்கு எவ்வித அச்சுறுத்தலும் இல்லையென தெரிவித்தேன். பாதாள குழுக்களிடையே மோதல்கள் வலுப் பெற்றிருந்தாலும் அது பொதுமக்களின் பாதுகாப்புக்குக்கு சிக்கலாக அமையவில்லையென சுட்டிக்காட்டிதோடு, இதுவரையில் அரசியல் அனுசரணையில் வளர்ச்சி கண்ட பாதாள குழுக்களை முழுமையாக கட்டுப்படுத்த தற்போதைய அரசாங்கம் நடவடிக்கை எடுக்குமெனவும் தெரிவித்தேன். அதேபோல் உள்ளூராட்சி தேர்தலை மிக விரைவில் நடத்துவதற்கு அரசாங்கம் எதிர்பார்ப்பதாகவும், தேர்தலை நடத்துவதற்கு தேர்தல்கள் ஆணைக்குழுவிற்கு எந்தவித சட்ட ரீதியான தடைகளும் இல்லையென்றும், அதற்கு தேவையான நிதியையும் அரசாங்கம் ஒதுக்கியிருக்கும் நிலையில், தேர்தல்கள் ஆணைக்குழுவினால் அதற்கான திகதி விரைவில் அறிவிக்கப்படுமெனவும் நம்பிக்கை தெரிவித்தேன். அமைச்சர் சமந்த வித்யாரத்ன, பிரதி அமைச்சர் வைத்தியர் பிரசன்ன குனசேன, பிரதி அமைச்சர் வைத்தியர் ஹங்சக விஜயமுனி, கண்டி மாவட்ட பாராளுமன்ற உறுப்பினர் துஷாரி ஜயசிங்க, தியவடன நிலமே பிரதீப் நிலங்க தேல பண்டார உள்ளிட்டவர்கள் இதன்போது கலந்துகொண்டிருந்தனர். Today (23), I visited the historic Sri Dalada Maligawa in Kandy, where I paid homage to the Sacred Tooth Relic and received blessings. During my visit, I also went to the Malwathu Maha Viharaya and met with the Chief Prelate of the Malwathu Chapter, the Most Venerable Thibbatuwawe Sri Sumangala Thero. I inquired about his well-being and engaged in a brief discussion. On this occasion, the Malwathu Maha Nayaka Thero, along with the Sangha, chanted Seth Pirith and bestowed blessings upon me. Subsequently, I visited the Asgiri Maha Viharaya and met with the Chief Prelate of the Asgiri Chapter, the Most Venerable Warakagoda Sri Gnanarathana Thero, and received his blessings. I also engaged in a brief discussion with the Most Venerable Thero. The Anunayaka Theras of the Asgiri Chapter, along with other senior monks of the Karaka Sangha Sabha, were present on this occasion. The Maha Sangha recited Seth Pirith and offered their blessings upon me. Thereafter, while addressing the media, I stated that arrangements are being made to hold a special Dalada exhibition for the general public after the Sinhala and Tamil New Year. I also mentioned that discussions regarding this were held today with the Chief Prelates of the Malwathu and Asgiri Chapters. Furthermore, I stated that with the involvement of the Governor of the Central Province, the Kandy District Secretary, other state officials, and the Diyawadana Nilame of the historic Sri Dalada Maligawa, necessary preparations for the event have been agreed upon. Additionally, in response to a question from journalists, I stated that there is no threat to national security in the country. Although conflicts may arise among underworld groups, they do not pose a threat to the safety of the general public. I also emphasized that the current government is taking action to completely dismantle the underworld, which has grown under political protection in the past. Furthermore, I stated that the government also expects the Provincial Council elections to be held as soon as possible. I clarified that there are no legal obstacles for the Election Commission to conduct the elections and that the government has allocated the necessary funds for this purpose. I also expressed confidence that the Election Commission will promptly set a date for the elections.
