අද (25) දින ජනාධිපති කාර්යාලයේදී පැවති ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ වත්මන් ආරක්ෂක තත්ත්වය පිළිබඳ සාකච්ඡාවට එක් වීමි. යුද හමුදාවේ උසස් නිලධාරීන් සමග පැවති මෙම සාකච්ඡාවේදී ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ ආරක්ෂක තත්ත්වය සම්බන්ධයෙන් වූ ඉදිරි ක්‍රියාමාර්ග පිළිබඳ සාකච්ඡා කෙරිණි. ආරක්ෂක නියෝජ්‍ය අමාත්‍ය අරුණ ජයසේකර, ජනාධිපති ලේකම් ආචාර්ය නන්දික සනත් කුමානායක, ආරක්ෂක අමාත්‍යාංශයේ ලේකම් එයාර් වයිස් මාර්ෂල් සම්පත් තුයියකොන්තා යන මහත්වරුන්ද, යුද හමුදාපති ලුතිනන් ජනරාල් ලසන්ත රොද්‍රිගෝ මහතා ඇතුළු යුද හමුදාවේ ජ්‍යෙෂ්ඨ නිලධාරින් පිරිසක් මීට එක්ව සිටියහ. இன்று (25) இலங்கையின் தற்போதைய பாதுகாப்பு நிலைமை குறித்த கலந்துரையாடலொன்று எனது தலைமையில் ஜனாதிபதி அலுவலகத்தில் நடைபெற்றது. இராணுவ உயர் அதிகாரிகளுடனான இந்தக் கலந்துரையாடலின் போது, இலங்கையின் பாதுகாப்பு நிலைமை தொடர்பான எதிர்கால நடவடிக்கைகள் குறித்து ஆராயப்பட்டது. பாதுகாப்பு பிரதி அமைச்சர் அருண ஜயசேகர, ஜனாதிபதியின் செயலாளர் கலாநிதி நந்திக சனத் குமாநாயக்க, பாதுகாப்பு அமைச்சின் செயலாளர் எயார் வைஸ் மார்ஷல் சம்பத் துய்யகொந்தா, இராணுவத் தளபதி லெப்டினன்ட் ஜெனரல் லசந்த ரொட்ரிகோ மற்றும் சிரேஷ்ட இராணுவ அதிகாரிகள் உள்ளிட்டோர் இந்தக் கலந்துரையாடலில் கலந்து கொண்டனர். Today (25), I took part in a meeting at the Presidential Secretariat to discuss the current security situation in the country. The discussion, which included senior officials from the Sri Lanka Army, focused on future actions to address the country's security challenges. Among those present were Deputy Minister of Defence Major General Aruna Jayasekara (Retd), Secretary to the President Dr. Nandika Sanath Kumanayake, Secretary to the Ministry of Defence Air Vice Marshal Sampath Thuyacontha (Retd), and other senior military officials, including the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Lasantha Rodrigo.
