‎The flatterer should stay at home. ‎Shaykh Muhammed Amān al-Jāmī رحمه الله said: ‎The caller who attempts to be beloved by everyone, irrespective of their station, tendencies, affiliations, or groups—all of them loving him—this person is a flatterer! The caller who tries to please everyone so that no one is angry with him and they all say, 'So-and-so is just; he’s not a "troublemaker",' all the sects, groups, and communities are pleased with him. This person is a flatterer and a type of hypocrite—there is no doubt about that. ‎It is not possible to achieve this goal, just as Imam al-Shafi’i رحمه الله said: ‎'Pleasing the people is a goal that cannot be achieved.' ‎Therefore, trying to please everyone is a goal that is not achievable. However, there is a goal that is achievable and required from mankind. ‎Pleasing the people is a goal that is neither achievable nor required from mankind. However, pleasing Allah is a goal that is achievable and required from mankind. The pleasure of Allah is achievable for whoever Allah has granted success and seeks His pleasure. His pleasure is a goal that is achievable and required. The caller to Islam must bear this in mind when they go out to call others to Islam, and whoever cannot do this should stay at home. ‎Explanation of Shurūt Lā ilāha illā Allāh pg 102-103. https://x.com/armawsili/status/1887130011301302521?s=46&t=axND5gXlZf6nrkQ4B3bX3Q
