This event was fully mobilised and sponsored by the nurses themselves. What began last year as a farewell party for the then outgoing County Nursing Officer has morphed into an annual group welfare event. Officers who retired in the year were recognised and gifted. I'm happy that this year there was a guest speaker who spoke on personal growth and wellness. I took the opportunity to relay greetings from H.E the Governor Hon. Cecily Mbarire, EGH and assured them of our commitment to the well-being of our HRH. I informed the UHC nurses that their issues are on the Agenda in a meeting next week in NBI. I also reiterated that as a department we will not tolerate errant officers taking for granted the opportunity to serve the great people of Embu thereby embarrassing the entire fraternity. I concluded by pledging that if Allah wills, the next event will be bigger and better in the spirit of #kaizen.
