ALMIGHTY GOD had a purpose for his life, but Samson had let Satan cross-circuit that purpose. He was no longer the anointed judge and leader. Instead, he groveled at the feet of sin. The power of GOD departed from him [vs.20]. He was helpless without GOD'S power and favor upon his life. Joseph of old told his enemies: "But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but the LORD GOD meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive." GOD had a plan to use Samson for good no matter how impossible the circumstances. Samson finally yielded to GOD, and in that yielding released GOD'S power to work on his behalf!
"And Samson called unto the LORD, and said, O LORD GOD, remember me, I pray thee, and strengthen me, I pray thee, only this once, O GOD..." [Vs.28]. "And Samson said, Let me die with the Philistines. And he bowed himself with all his might; and the house fell upon the lords, and upon all the people that were therein. So the dead which he slew at his death were more than they which he slew in his life" [vs.30].
Sin may bind and blind, but GOD is able to give victory, peace, and joy in your soul: "For this purpose the Son of GOD was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil" [1 John 3:8].
No matter how far we have strayed... no matter how dark the sin... GOD, through the shed blood of JESUS CHRIST, has placed within us His power to lead us in the battles of life -- out of defeat and despair... into total and complete victory. What Satan has done to you, GOD can undo from this day forward. (This concludes this topic.)
