FEBRUARY 3 Life Gems *DON’T SUCCUMB TO TEMPTATION* *Spotlight* : Proverbs 1 verse 10 – My son, if sinners entice you, Do not consent. The devil will always sponsor temptation, he doesn’t get tired doing so. If he tempted Jesus, then he can tempt any believer. You must take your place and stand against temptation. Don’t succumb to temptation because if you do, you have given the devil a chance to use you to boast as part of the people he dealt with. You wouldn’t like the devil to make such a boast over your life or would you? Refuse to be added into the boast list of the devil your enemy. He presents his boast list to many believers if he wants to deceive a believer. He will tell the believer things like ‘everybody is doing it. Don’t you see brother A or sister A? Nobody is doing the right thing.’ All these and more will the devil present to you. Evil men who are agents of the devil also use this boast list when they want to intimidate a believer and make him accept their terms. They remind him how they dealt with so and so. Such boast usually weaken those who would have stood their ground. No matter how tempting a temptation is, make up your mind never to yield. Yielding to temptation doesn’t only stop with you but even people whom you don’t know can be pulled down if the devil uses your failure to boast to such persons. *Word Feast* : Isaiah 37 verses; Proverbs 4 verse 23; 1 Corinthians 10 verse 13 – 14. *Prayer* : Father, I receive grace not to succumb to temptation in Jesus name, Amen. *Action Point* : Refuse to yield to temptations. *Drill* : When does the devil add one to his boast list? *BIOY* : Exodus 28-29; Mark 5.
