FEBRUARY 4 Life Gems *GO UP* *Spotlight* : Exodus 24 verse 12 – Then the Lord said to Moses, “Come up to Me on the mountain and be there; and I will give you tablets of stone, and the law and commandments which I have written, that you may teach them.” It is naturally more convenient to settle with seemingly less stress but the guaranteed way to peace is not settling for less but going up when you are given the opportunity to. Even though there is stress in going up, whenever you are given opportunity, go up. When you go up, that is when you are powerful and it is only when you are powerful that you can have your peace. You have lesser though powerful opposition while up but being up equips you with what you need to fight. You have better power to protect what you are in charge of when you are up than when you are down. Pay the price of diligence early to go up (develop yourself) both spiritually and mentally. The freedom of one who is down is in another person’s hand. The one who is up holds the freedom of everyone down and can tamper with it. That is why you must not settle for the less in life. As a teenager, make up your mind to develop your mind and spirit. As a young adult, you may do menial jobs as you start out in life but never settle for it as the level where you want to remain. Plan the little resources and develop yourself if you need to and prayerfully invest your resources.
