[2/9, 12:15 AM] Life Gems: FEBRUARY 9 Life Gems ALLOCATE TIME TO GOD DAILY Spotlight: Psalm 63 verse 1 – O God, You are my God; Early will I seek You; My soul thirsts for You; My flesh longs for You In a dry and thirsty land Where there is no water. Time is a basic provision of God to everyone. It is universally equal irrespective of your gender, race, status, etc. Time in itself is a treasure. You can’t really create it but you can allocate it. It’s a treasure that once it is gone, it is gone forever. You can decide to allocate another time for a task you failed to do but can’t retrieve any lost time. The way you use your time can reflect your honour for God. It will be very clear whether you hold God in high regard or not when your daily time allocation to things is checked. Allocating time to God is an ordinance that shouldn’t change despite changing times and seasons. Get it right in your time allocation to God. The flesh will naturally want your time and if you give it time, it has an easy or subtle way of consuming time. That is why many will grumble that a prayer session was too long but won’t grumble when a movie takes 2 hours. Do you know that whatever you give time to, you will see or get quality outcome or result from it? Be mindful to allocate time to God and you will get a quality fellowship with God. Have an honour for God in your time. Don’t accept that internal or external complaint that the time you are spending with God is too much. The fact is that if you don’t spend time with God, you will still spend it with something else. Now the unfortunate thing is that if you encounter the challenges of life, those things you are spending time with will never be able to bail you out. From today, compel and subject yourself to things that make you pay attention to the word of God. Money for instance is a product of time but God wants your time many times more than your money.
