FEBRUARY 14 Life Gems *CHRIST'S SUPERIOR LOVE* *Spotlight* : Romans 5 verse 8 – But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Love is a term that has been so misinterpreted, misunderstood and as well misused. To a teenager, the term love is majorly lustful emotions. For there to be a misrepresentation of the concept of love, it means that there is an original version and that is the love of Christ. Christ’s love is the original and supreme love. Every other interpretation of love leaves man with regrets afterwards. It is only Christ’s love that adds to a man and makes the life of that man better. That is why a man is instructed by God’s word to love his wife just the way Christ loves the church (Ephesians 5: 25) not in any other manner. Now the question to you is this: the love you are upholding in your mind today, is it Christ’s love? If you sincerely answer and it’s not, refrain from it and ask God to forgive you. Christ’s love has nothing to do with a man who is not your spouse lavishing gifts on you today or having sexual relationship with you. Whoever or whatever gave you that version of love gave you a counterfeit version. You need to know the love of Christ that made Him come in human flesh and went to the cross to pay the highest price for man’s freedom from the shackles of sin and the devil. Accept Jesus today so that He can wash you clean from your sins and love people purely from a pure heart without evil or immoral thoughts in your heart. *Word Feast* : Ephesians 5 verses 25 – 27; Titus 2 verses 11 – 14; 2 Corinthians 5 verses 14 – 15. *Prayer* : Thank You Lord Jesus for showing me superior love. I receive You today into my life as my Lord and Saviour.
