FEBRUARY 17 Life Gems *DO YOU WANT GOD TO LOVE YOU?* *Spotlight* : John 14 verse 23 – Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him. God has made His ways so clear in the Bible that when you search the scriptures, you will understand His ways at least to the level He wants you to know. As a man, you can make God to love you. God created man but He is not committed to everyone and He doesn’t love everyone equally. This doesn’t make Him partial as some may think but rather shows His impartiality. What that means is that God has stated instructions that once you pay attention to, He will love you more than others who don’t pay attention to those instructions. If you want the love of your Father (God), just do what He wants you to do and you won’t beg Him to love you. This is true! One may ask ‘how do I know what He wants me to do?' Start from the instructions He gave in the Bible especially through His Son Jesus Christ in Matthew, Mark, Luke and John and proceed to the epistles. If you set your heart to do what God wants you to do at all time, I can assure you that God will gladly tell you what He wants you to do. So don’t stress yourself feeling you don’t know what God wants you to do. Truly desire to know what He wants you to do and ask Him and He will respond to you. On the contrary, the easiest way to attract God’s resistance is to go against what He wants you to do. Facing God’s resistance is not palatable at all.
