FEBRUARY 28 Life Gems *WHAT ARE YOU SAYING?* *Spotlight* : Proverbs 18 verse 21 – Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit. As a human being, your words are important and much more if you are a child of God. Unfortunately, many even believers talk carelessly. Do you know that both positive and negative spiritual forces are on the watch out for what you say? (Ecclesiastes 5:6, Psalm 39:1). No matter how tough the situation is, force your mouth to say what the word of God says concerning you even when you don’t know how God will do it. Over and over in our lives, by saying what God says, the tough real situation we saw disappeared. It takes faith and trust in God to just say what the word of God says. Men may tell you that you are not coming to terms with reality but the only reality God recognises is what His word says because His word is forever settled in heaven (Psalm 119:89). Even when you speak correctly what the word of God says, ensure you believe those words so that you can see the kind of results you desire. If there is a misalignment of fear, doubt, unbelief in your heart, your confession may achieve very little. Let your confession force out any remaining iota of doubt, fear, unbelief from your heart. Don’t join men to say negative or faithless words and feel you were just joking. Well the devil is not a joker. He is always looking for an opportunity to strike. Don’t give him that opportunity by talking carelessly. In fact it is better to keep quiet than to speak wrong words just to keep a conversation going.
