Cllr Ruth Williams, who has responsibility for waterways, said the Quay and Canal, which are maintained by Exeter City Council, are a fantastic resource for residents, visitors and users of the waterway. A number of boats have recently been craned in and out of the water at Gabriel’s Wharf and the waterway remains important for commercial users as well as leisure enthusiasts.
