Yesterday, 4th February was World Cancer Day. World Cancer Day is observed on February 4th every year, and it's a day to raise awareness about cancer and encourage its prevention, detection, and treatment. The theme for 2025-2027 is *'United by Unique'*, which focuses on putting people at the center of care and highlighting their unique stories. This initiative aims to promote a people-centered approach to cancer care, where each individual's needs are taken into account with compassion and empathy. The day is led by the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) and is supported by the World Health Organization (WHO). It's an opportunity to rally the international community to end the injustice of preventable suffering from cancer. On this day, hundreds of events take place around the world, and many landmarks are lit up in orange and blue to show support for those affected by cancer. The goal of World Cancer Day is to significantly reduce illness and death caused by cancer, and it's an opportunity to debunk myths and raise awareness about the disease. By working together, we can make a difference and create a world where cancer care is accessible to all. So, let's come together to support this important cause and make a positive impact on the lives of those affected by cancer. 🙌
