A customer must leave you money without realizing that they are actually leaving you money, a sale must not be transactional rather make it a conversation, develop a relationship with your client, help them understand their pains and solve their problems.
It's actually much cheaper to make a second sale from a closed customer rather than prospecting for a new client, but you get a second sale that's if you are able to build relationship with your client.
