Kwekwe murderers sentenced to 2 life terms in prison PRISCA MANYIWA-MASUKU MIRROR REPORTER GOKWE – High Court judge Justice Pisirai Kwenda has sentenced two murderers to two life terms in prison after convicting them of the double murder of a Mbizo teacher and a woman who witnessed the teacher’s murder. Justice Kwenda sentenced Edson Matarise of Gwetu Village, Chief Malisa in Silobela and Nyashadzashe Nyahuma of Mvuma at the High Court Circuit in Gokwe on Wednesday. https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029VaDkczW42DcZ1gleaW2j They were convicted for the murder of popular Mbizo educationist Lovemore Marume and Chipo Gobiye near Ruvimbo Primary School, Mbizo 3, Kwekwe, on May 16, 2023. Justice Kwenda said the murders were premeditated and committed in aggravating circumstances. He said they would have attracted the death penalty had it not been abolished. A third accomplice Edmore Mpande was acquitted at the end of the trial.
