Introduce road levy to fix road network – Kwekwe Engineer PRISCA MANYIWA-MASUKU 
MIRROR REPORTER KWEKWE – Kwekwe City Works Department Engineer, John Mhike has called for the introduction of a road levy to be used in developing roads and drainage systems in areas serviced by co-operatives and third parties.
Mhike told a full council meeting held on Monday that most of the suburbs with poor networks were developed by third parties as co-operatives who sold them at cheap prices and didn’t fully service roads and drainage systems.
He said council has limited funds to service the roads and drainage systems and a road levy should therefore be introduced.
