GOOD NEWS ‼️ Israel Withdraws from Netzarim Corridor! IOF forces withdrew from the Netzarim Corridor this morning, marking a significant loss of Israeli control within Gaza. Until last month, Israel insisted it’d never let go of it. The 18-mile sq Netzarim Corridor was a large militarized corridor Israel established on a strategic strip of land dividing north & south Gaza. Thousands of homes were destroyed to make way for it. During the genocide, Israel used it for rapid deployment, to choke movement across Gaza, and exert control over areas. IOF shot many people who tried to return to the then-besieged north. After the withdrawal, Palestinian police forces were deployed to the area to manage the flow of civilians, while locals and orgs have started discovering corpses in the areas previously occupied by Israeli troops. 💛 The retreat of Israeli troops is a big achievement — it means Palestinians can now live in less fear, with more freedom of movement, and less Israeli control.
