*Meeting on Reviewing and Scientific Enrichment of the Fuel Consumption Regulation Draft Held at the National Standards Authority* This meeting was chaired by Mawlawi Mohammad Asif Qanat Technical Deputy of the National Standards Authority (ANSA), with the participation of Mawlawi Mohammad Hanif Head of National Standards Development and Building Codes, professors from Kabul Polytechnic University, technical officials from the Norm Determination Department of ANSA and other relevant members. The meeting was held in the technical conference hall of the authority. The session commenced with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran. At the outset, Mawlawi Mohammad Asif Qanat expressed gratitude for the scientific and technical cooperation of the professors from Kabul Polytechnic University, emphasizing that close collaboration between academic institutions and the National Standards Authority plays a vital role in advancing standardization and quality improvement in the country. He also elaborated on the importance of regulating fuel consumption. Subsequently, Ihsanullah Rashid, Head of Norm Determination, provided insights into the draft regulation on fuel consumption for vehicles, road construction and building machinery, agricultural equipment, power-generating devices, and heating appliances. He outlined the key points of the draft for the meeting participants. During the session, discussions were held regarding the benefits of the regulation, and members exchanged views, proposing practical strategies for reducing energy waste. The Afghanistan National Standards Authority is committed to the formulation and implementation of regulations for the proper management of fuel and energy consumption in the country.
