*The Technical Committee Meeting on Mines and Mining Standards of the National Standards Authority was held* The meeting was attended by Mawlawi Mohammad Hanif Director of Standard Development and National Building Codes, along with the committee chairman and its members, in the technical conference hall of the authority. Discussions were held on the standard work method for determining gas content in coal – Direct Desorption Method ASTM 7569, along with other relevant topics. This standard provides a scientifically and practically validated method for determining the gas content in coal, ensuring mine safety, resource management, and coal quality assessment.
