📻 It's World Radio Day! We're excited to share a new story from Kenya where climate-smart radio dramas - produced in partnership with community members - and interactive radio talk shows are being used to share context-specific information on climate-smart agriculture and climate services with 400,000+ listeners in arid and semi-arid areas. Radio is more than a powerful information dissemination channel, it can be used as a pathway to effect changes in farming decisions and practices that build climate resilience. One of the radio talk shows we produced included the Kenya Meteorological Department sharing the October-November-December (OND) 2024 forecast which predicted low rains. As a result, we were able to work with communities to distribute drought-tolerant seeds and crop management advice to 5,000 farmers we had not worked with before - ensuring a wider reach and impact of climate-smart agriculture. 📲 Read the story and meet some of the community members who participated: https://aiccra.cgiar.org/news/talk-day-communities-and-aiccra-partners-co-produce-climate-radio-drama-kenya
