*Soorah 2 Al Baqarah* Aayah 273 Word by Word لِلْفُقَرَآءِ For the poor Faqeeron ke liye ٱلَّذِينَ the ones who Woh log jo أُحْصِرُوا۟ UHSIROO Root Letters ح ص ر All are restricted Sab Mahdood hain سب محدود ہیں فِى in Mein سَبِيلِ way Raah ٱللَّهِ Allaah لَا not Nahin يَسْتَطِيعُونَ YASTATEEOONA Root Letters ط و ع they all are capable Woh sab istitaa'at rakhtay وہ سب استطاعت رکھتے ضَرْبًا DARBAN Root Letters ض ر ب moving around Chalnay Phirnay چلنے پھرنے فِى in Mein ٱلْأَرْضِ the land Zameen يَحْسَبُهُمُ YAHSABUHUMU Root Letters ح س ب They think about all of them Woh samajhtay hain un sabke baaray mein وہ سمجھتے ہیں ان سب کے بارے میں ٱلْجَاهِلُ AL JAAHILU Root Letters ج ه ل the ignorant Jaahil جاہل أَغْنِيَآءَ AGHNIYAAA'A Root Letters غ ن ي Rich Maaldaar مالدار مِنَ Because of Ki wajah Se ٱلتَّعَفُّفِ AT TA'AFFUFI Root Letters ع ف ف The self restraint Qhud par Tahammul خود پر تحمل تَعْرِفُهُم TA'RIFUHUM Root Letters ع ر ف you can recognize all of them aap pehchaan sakte hain un sabko آپ پہچان سکتے ہیں ان سب كو بِسِيمَٰهُمْ BISEEMAAHUM Root Letters س و م From their facial signs Un sabke chehron ke aasaar se ان سب کے چہروں کے آثار سے لَا Not Nahin يَسْـَٔلُونَ they all ask Woh sab sawaal karte hain ٱلنَّاسَ the people Logon إِلْحَافًا ILHAAFAN Root Letters ل ح ف By wrapping up Lipatkar لپٹ کر وَمَا And whatever Aur jo kuch تُنفِقُوا۟ you all spend Tum sab Qharch Karte ho مِنْ From among Mein se خَيْرٍ goodness Bhalaaee فَإِنَّ then indeed Toh beshak ٱللَّهَ Allaah بِهِ of it Usay عَلِيمٌ All-Knower Qhoob Jaannay wale *Soorah 2 Al Baqarah* Aayah 273 *لِلۡفُقَرَآءِ الَّذِيۡنَ اُحۡصِرُوۡا فِىۡ سَبِيۡلِ اللّٰهِ لَا يَسۡتَطِيۡعُوۡنَ ضَرۡبًا فِى الۡاَرۡضِ يَحۡسَبُهُمُ الۡجَاهِلُ اَغۡنِيَآءَ مِنَ التَّعَفُّفِ‌ۚ تَعۡرِفُهُمۡ بِسِيۡمٰهُمۡ‌ۚ لَا يَسۡــئَلُوۡنَ النَّاسَ اِلۡحَــافًا ‌ؕ وَمَا تُنۡفِقُوۡا مِنۡ خَيۡرٍ فَاِنَّ اللّٰهَ بِهٖ عَلِيۡمٌ* _*LILFUQARAAAIL LAZEENA UHSIROO FEE SABEEL ILLAAHI LAA YASTATEEOONA DARBAN FIL ARDI, YAHSABUHUMUL JAAHILU AGHNIYAAA'A MINAT TA'AFFUF, TA'RIFUHUM BISEEMAAHUM, LAA YAS'ALOONAN NAASA ILHAAFAA, WA MAA TUNFIQOO MIN QHAIRIN FA'INN ALLAAHA BIHEE ALEEM.*_ *Your Charities are for those poor who are restricted in the way of Allaah SWT because of emigration, they aren't capable of moving around in the land for trade or work. The ignorant one thinks about them that they are rich because of their self restraint. O Muhammad SAW, you can recognize them from their facial signs, they don't ask people by wrapping up (ie, they do not beg people persistently to the point of annoyance). And whatever you spend from among any goodness, then indeed Allaah SWT is All-Knower of it.* _*(اور ہاں تم جو خرچ کرو گے تو) ان حاجتمندوں کے لئے جو اللہ کی راہ میں رکے بیٹھے ہیں اور ملک میں کسی طرف جانے کی طاقت نہیں رکھتے (اور مانگنے سے عار رکھتے ہیں) یہاں تک کہ نہ مانگنے کی وجہ سے ناواقف شخص ان کو غنی خیال کرتا ہے اور تم قیافے سے ان کو صاف پہچان لو (کہ حاجتمند ہیں اور شرم کے سبب) لوگوں سے (منہ پھوڑ کر اور) لپٹ کر نہیں مانگ سکتے اور تم جو مال خرچ کرو گے کچھ شک نہیں کہ اللہ اس کو جانتا ہے*_ _*Tumhare sadaqaat un Faqeeron ke liye hai jo Allaah SWT Ki Raah mein Hijrat karne ki wajah se mahdood hain, woh zameen mein rozee rotee haasil karne ke liye chalnay phirnay ki istitaa'at (taaqat) nahin rakhtay, unke qhud par tahammul rakhnay ki wajah se (yaani, unke naa Maangnay ki wajah se) Jaahil (Naawaaqif) log unke baaray mein yeh samajhtay hain ke woh maaldaar hain, Aap Rasoolullaah SAW pehchaan sakte hain unhein unke chehron ke Aasaar se. Sharm, Ghairat aur Qhuddaaree ki wajah se woh sawaal nahin karte hain logon se Lipatkar (yaani, logon se lipatkar bheek nahin maangtay), aur jo kuch tum Qharch Karte ho Bhalaaee (Halaal aur Paakeezah Maal) mein se sadaqaat ke Tawr par, toh beshak Allaah SWT usay Qhoob Jaannay wale hain.*_
