*FOUNTAIN OF KNOWLEDGE DAILY DEVOTIONALS* (February 2nd, 2025) *DAY 33* *TOPIC: IT IS HOW YOU LIVE THAT MATTERS* _“And it was so, that the children of Amman made war against Israel, the elders of Gilead went to fetch Jephthah out of the land of Tob."_ (Judges 11:5). Beloved, the circumstances of a man's birth have nothing to do with his achievements on earth. There was someone who was born with no known earthly father (he only had a foster father). Yet, what he did on earth in just three and a half years, the world cannot recover from it, for as long as the earth remains. That person is Jesus Christ (Luke 1:30-35). Solomon was a product of a questionable relationship, yet he went on to become one of the most outstanding kings that Israel ever had (1 Kings 3:13). Jephthah, in our text today, was born outside wedlock and was later kicked out of his father's house. However, in the process of time, the same people who kicked him out saw his value and looked for him. They brought him back, and he became a military general and commander over his nation in that generation. Hence, you may have a setback, but if you do not take a step backward, you will stand out. It is not who gave birth to you that matters; it is what you give birth to in your generation that matters. It is not how you were born that matters, it is how you live that makes all the difference. Spiritual birth is superior to physical birth. In case you do not know your earthly father; God in His mercy can make you become one of the most outstanding people that ever lived. Determine this day not to allow the circumstances of your birth or your background to affect your destiny. Rahab was a harlot, yet she had a name on the ancestral lineage of Jesus Christ. It is well with you, in Jesus' Name. *Prophetic Instruction:* 1. Decide to increase your connection with God, 2.
