*FOUNTAIN OF KNOWLEDGE DAILY DEVOTIONAL.* _Saturday 21st June 2025_ _Day 170 of the year 2025_ _TOPIC_ *GIVE THANKS WITH A GRATEFUL HEART* _TEXT_ *"Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise be thankful unto Him, and bless his name"* _(Psalms 100:4)._ _COMMENTARY_ The attitude of gratitude is a confirmation of worship. Thanksgiving is the platform for praise and worship. Being thankful means you are grateful to God for even the tiniest things in your life and take nothing for granted; you do not take the fact that you are living in good health and not on the hospital bed for granted. Therefore, a life of ingratitude, grumbling, and murmuring is a lifestyle that is contrary to worship. You will never see the result of worship in your life if you are unthankful. For thanksgiving and worship to be used, it has to find expression in your voice. Worship, especially in the midst of conflict, is your expression of faith. When you are in the midst of battle and the devil expects you to be lamenting and crying, sing and instead of mourning, dance. The reason why you are singing and dancing is because you believe His Word that says, '... Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning' (Ps.30:5). Anywhere God sees faith, He moves into action. For without faith, it is impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:6). So, praise God, especially when in the midst of battles, conflicts, and situations you do not understand. When your worship finds expression, through your faith, it will move God into action. *Prophetic Instruction:* 1. Do as the passage says. 2. What is a secret today would be obvious tomorrow. What is concealed would be revealed later. David committed adultery with Bath-sheba in the secret, but it did not remain a secret. Whatever cannot withstand publicity must be denied privacy. Whatever you would be ashamed of if revealed, must never be attempted in secret. Whatever would cause you to lose your dignity and respect if exposed must never be contemplated. Whatever would cause embarrassment to you and those who know you if made public must never be embarked upon. It is not who you are or what you do in public that determines your outcome in life. No wonder Paul the apostle enjoins us to pray without ceasing (1 Thess. 5:17). Prayer is the life wire of the Christian. Ruth Bell Graham said, “Pray when you feel like it, for it is sin to neglect such an opportunity. Pray when you do not feel like it, for it is dangerous to remain in such a condition.” Prayer is the greatest privilege given to mortal man by God. To fail to pray is to faint in life. To fail to pray is to give up in the battles of life. To fail to pray is to end up as a victim and casualty in life. Prayer makes available to you the help of God (Heb. 4:16), which is behind the making of a man. Prayer also delivers to you the strength and power of God. Prayer envelopes you with God's presence. *FOUNTAIN OF KNOWLEDGE DAILY DEVOTIONAL* _Thursday 22nd May 2025_ _Day 140 of the year 2025_ _TOPIC_ *FORSAKE NOT THE ASSEMBLY* _MEMORY VERSE_ *"Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another; so much the more, as ye see the day approaching"* _(Heb. 10:25)_ _COMMENTARY_ The church is called the body of Christ (1 Cor. 12:27). Now, just like no part of the human body can survive independent of the whole, no member of the church can survive independent of the church. A dismembered or disconnected part of the body will end up being destroyed. Isolation is the foundation for frustration and destruction. When the devil wants to destroy a person, he moves him or her out of the fellowship of the brethren. When Judas Iscariot wandered out of the company of the Master and the disciples, his outcome was destruction. Never become too big for church service. Never become too anointed to be pastored. No matter how big a tree is, it can not be independent of the ground, and neither can it become a forest. No matter how big one of your legs is, you cannot walk with it alone. You need the second leg to move comfortably. The firewood needs the fire of other woods to remain on fire. The church is your 'refiring' and spiritual refuelling centre. *FOUNTAIN OF KNOWLEDGE DAILY DEVOTIONAL* _Saturday 24th May 2025_ _Day 142 of the year 2025_ _TOPIC_ *THE MEDICINE OF MERRIMENT* _MEMORY VERSE_ *"A merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance; but by sorrow of the heart, the spirit is broken. A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones"* _(Prov. 15:13; 17:22 KJV)._ _COMMENTARY_ Merriment is medicinal. A study conducted in America on a group of octogenarians (people who are between 80 to 99 years) showed that a very great percentage of them live a life of humour, and they thoroughly enjoyed life. That affected their health, vitality, and longevity. Medical studies also showed that laughter or merriment releases stress-reducing hormones into the system. This favours general well-being. The reverse is the case with bitterness, anger, and so on. Actually, there are a group of sicknesses called psychosomatic illness (mind related ailments) such as migraine, arthritis, some form of hypertension, asthma, ulcer, etc. They are connected to negative emotions of worry, anger, and bitterness, amongst others. The point here is that merriment and excitement will lengthen your life while sadness and gloominess will shorten it. Increase your joy level through the promises of the word of God and fellowship with the Holy Spirit. You have only one life, make sure you enjoy it! *Prophetic Instruction:* 1. Your financial and material destiny is determined by the system into which you invest. The earthly financial system is affected by earthly changes and challenges, but the heavenly financial system is subject to no earthly change or challenge. Now, if all your investments are limited to this earthly realm, then you will be affected by earthly changes and challenges resulting from inflation, deflation, corruption, etc. If, however, you make investments into the kingdom of God in the form of tithes, offerings, projects, etc. then your prosperity can not be affected by changes and challenges in the earthly system. That is why God said, _“Offer unto God and pay your vows and call upon me in the day of trouble, and I will deliver thee"_ (Ps. 50:14-15). *Prophetic Instruction:* 1. *FOUNTAIN OF KNOWLEDGE DAILY DEVOTIONAL.* _Friday 30th May 2025_ _Day 148 of the year 2025_ _TOPIC_ *SPIRITUAL ACCOUNTING* _MEMORY VERSE_ *"Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it"* _(Ecclesiastes 12:7)._ _COMMENTARY_ Life has been given to us on trust, and it shall be accounted for one day; we don't own it. According to today’s anchor scripture, our spirits will return to God, who gave it. This is why Romans 14:10 tells us, _“for we all shall stand before the judgement seat of Christ.”_ For every time I handled the mcrophone to preach the gospel, I will account for it; both for the things I said or the things I failed to say. One day, I will stand and give an account of the way and manner in which I am administering the ministry under me right now. This also extends to everybody. The President of your nation will one day stand before Jehovah to account for how he governed the country, likewise state governors, and every single one of us will also give an account. Earthly actions have eternal consequences. Our actions might be earthly, but consequences are eternal. Consciousness of eternal consequence imparts cautiousness to earthly conducts. When a person is conscious of the fact that there is life hereafter and that there is someone he/she will meet after death, then there will be consciousness or cauton in earthly conduct. Beloved, living with the end in mind is the key to living well in the present. Living with that mentality that a day will come when our hearts will stop beating and our breaths will cease will help us to make wise choices in the present. A time will come when everybody will have only 24 hours to live and when that time comes, nobody will say, _"l need a new hairstyle or, I am going to buy a new suit."_ Begin to think now of what is really important. All might is with Him. He only gives it to men in measures. There is no truly mighty man on the face of the earth who has no connection with the Almighty. Any appearance of might, power, or strength outside of God is a camouflage. All it takes is a major challenge or battle of life, and the weakness of mortal man is revealed. If you want real might, strength, and power in any facet of life, be it in position or in wealth, it is anchored on the Almighty. The New English Bible reads, so Jotham. became very powerful because he maintained a steady course of obedience to the Lord his God. Another translation says, in the presence of the Lord his God.’ Maintain a steady course of obedience to the Lord, live in His presence, and nothing can stop you from being a person to reckon with in your generation. Day unto day uttereth speech, And night unto night sheweth knowledge. There is no speech nor language, Where their voice is not heard" (Psalm 19:1-3) Someone said, “The universe is a university.” Life is full of lessons. You do not need to look far before you see God and His works of creation. Every day arrives loaded with revelations. Every night has something to offer. Wisdom is the ability to harvest revelations and lessons from your surroundings and situations in life. The challenge is that many do look, but few see something out of life. For a day to pass without lessons being learnt is a tragedy. To be found in situations and circumstances of life without a revelation is sad.
