*FOUNTAIN OF KNOWLEDGE DAILY DEVOTIONALS* (February 11th, 2025) *DAY 42* *TOPIC: GOD QUALIFIES THE CHOSEN* _“Salmon begot Boaz by Rahab, Boaz begot Obed by Ruth, Obed begot Jesse."_ *(Math 1:5).* Some years ago, I heard from Bishop T. D. Jakes that, "God does not choose the qualified, He qualifes the chosen." If there is anything that makes you feel unworthy, then you are at the point where God can decorate you with a degree of dignty, worth, and value that will make news in your generation. Brokenness has been found to be the major key to usefulness in the hand of God. It has been noticed that, God by-passed a lot of people who appeared qualified in their own eyes, having a lot to boast about, and went on to anoint those who appeared to be the least qualified. People like Kathryn Kulhman, Aimee S. Mc Pherson, Maria Woodworth Etter, and Smith Wigglesworth are good examples. Rahab the harlot had her name on the ancestral lineage of Jesus Christ (Matt 1:5). The woman of Samaria, who had lived with five men and was with the sixth man when Jesus met her, became the first evangelist of the New Testament (John 4 28-30). Mary Magdaene, out of whom came out seven evil spirits, became the first messenger of the resurrection (Mark 16). That is to show you how God delights in the gathering of battered lives. Also, it shows that the ugliness of the past, most of the time, prepares the ground for the beauty of the future. “Humiliation”, most times sets the right candidates to manifest God's glory in most unusual ways. Take advantage of what you have passed through in life so that God can use it to pass something through you to your generation. Refuse to suffer pain for nothing. Refuse to suffer shame and humiliation for nothing. Allow your mistakes to give birth to your miracles, and allow your tears to give birth to your joy. Allow your pains to produce your gains.
