*FOUNTAIN OF KNOWLEDGE DAILY DEVOTIONALS*
_(February 18th, 2025)_
*DAY 49*
*TOPIC: DEMANDS OF ACCEPTABLE PRAISE*
_"When Israel went out of Egypt, the house of Jacob, from a people of strange language; Judah was His sanctuary, and Israel His dominion"_ *(Ps 114:1-2).*
Today, we shall be looking at the demand of acceptable praise. What kind of praise invites the presence of God? What kind of praise makes God comfortable?
Our text makes it very clear, before Judah can be His sanctuary, Israel must go out of Egypt, and the house of Jacob must get out from the people of strange language.
There are two basic conditions here that will make God tabernacle in the praises of His people, they are:
1. *Separation from Egypt:* It is impossible to genuinely worship God in an Egypt environment. Your praise will never command His presence until you go out of Egypt. Your time divided between love of Egypt and love of God can never command the attention and praise of God. Egypt here refers to anything that is bondage in your life. It also refers to anything that is of the flesh, anything that is carnal, and anything that comes between you and your God. In order for you to become a sanctuary where He can tabernacle by praise, you must make up your mind to get out of Egypt. Be separated!
2. *You must put away strange language:* You know language is vital in genuine praise and worship. It is not possible for a person to use the same mouth in which we use in worshiping and praising God to tell lies at the same time. It is unacceptable to use the same mouth for worship to slander and gossip. It is not right to employ the same mouth for worship and use it for filthy and dirty talks. The mouth you use to worship God also can not be used to confess doubt, unbelief, and negativity. This is unacceptable. If praise and worship is acceptable to God, it must come out from your mouth, and the mouth must be clear of strange language. Just know that praise is the higher expression of faith. Therefore, you cannot talk about His Almightiness in praise and then talk of the mightiness of your situation, through unbelief with the same mouth.
Today, as you proceed on the journey of praise and worship, I ask that the grace and mercy of God will come upon you in Jesus Name.
*Prophetic Instruction:*
1. Be determined to separate yourself from anything that constitutes a “god” in your life.
2. Decide to put away strange language today.
*Prophetic Prayer:*
Lord, help me to meet up with the demand of acceptable praise in order to be able to command your presence in my life, in Jesus Name.
