Last Two Verses of Surah Al-Baqarah (Verses 285-286) Verse 285: ءَامَنَ ٱلرَّسُولُ بِمَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيْهِ مِن رَّبِّهِۦ وَٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ ۚ كُلٌّ ءَامَنَ بِٱللَّهِ وَمَلَـٰٓئِكَتِهِۦ وَكُتُبِهِۦ وَرُسُلِهِۦ لَا نُفَرِّقُ بَيْنَ أَحَدٍۢ مِّن رُّسُلِهِۦ ۚ وَقَالُوا۟ سَمِعْنَا وَأَطَعْنَا ۖ غُفْرَانَكَ رَبَّنَا وَإِلَيْكَ ٱلْمَصِيرُ Translation: "The Messenger believes in what has been sent down to him from his Lord, as do the believers. They all believe in Allah, His angels, His books, and His messengers. (They say) ‘We make no distinction between any of His messengers.’ And they say, ‘We hear and obey. (Grant us) Your forgiveness, our Lord. To You is the (final) return.’" --- Verse 286: لَا يُكَلِّفُ ٱللَّهُ نَفْسًا إِلَّا وُسْعَهَا ۚ لَهَا مَا كَسَبَتْ وَعَلَيْهَا مَا ٱكْتَسَبَتْ ۗ رَبَّنَا لَا تُؤَاخِذْنَآ إِن نَّسِينَآ أَوْ أَخْطَأْنَا ۚ رَبَّنَا وَلَا تَحْمِلْ عَلَيْنَآ إِصْرًۭا كَمَا حَمَلْتَهُۥ عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِنَا ۚ رَبَّنَا وَلَا تُحَمِّلْنَا مَا لَا طَاقَةَ لَنَا بِهِۦ ۖ وَٱعْفُ عَنَّا وَٱغْفِرْ لَنَا وَٱرْحَمْنَآ ۚ أَنتَ مَوْلَىٰنَا فَٱنصُرْنَا عَلَى ٱلْقَوْمِ ٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ Translation: "Allah does not burden a soul beyond what it can bear. It will have (the consequence of) what (good) it has gained, and it will bear (the consequence of) what (evil) it has earned. (They pray): ‘Our Lord, do not hold us accountable if we forget or make a mistake. Our Lord, do not place a burden upon us like the one You placed upon those before us. Our Lord, do not burden us with what we cannot bear. Pardon us, forgive us, and have mercy on us. You are our Protector, so help us against the disbelieving people.’" --- Benefits of Reciting These Verses ✅ Protection throughout the night (Sahih Bukhari, 5009) ✅ Forgiveness from sins ✅ Relief from burdens and hardships ✅ Increased faith and connection with Allah Make it a habit to recite these before sleeping for Allah’s mercy and protection.
