ALERT: In an early morning operation the police in Karak district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa claimed to have killed at least 5 militants. Residents reported heavy firing in the district a day after a jirga had announced a three day deadline for all armed groups to leave the area, a police official said that the operation was jointly planned with the counter terrorism department and security forces: TKD Correspondent
