Alert: Reports are emerging of an explosion at a mosque during Friday prayers in Afghanistan's northern Samangan province. This is a developing story. UPDATE: A grenade attack on a mosque in Samangan province, Afghanistan, has left four people injured. According to the Police Command of Samangan, armed men threw a hand grenade into the mosque, causing the injuries. The perpetrators of the attack were swiftly apprehended by security forces as they attempted to escape. The police spokesperson attributed the incident to a tribal dispute.

BREAKING: ISLAMIC STATE KHORASAN AFFILIATES, MASTERMINDS OF KERMAN & MOSCOW ATTACKS ARRESTED, LINKED TO ATTACKS EUROPE. Pakistani Intelligence arrested top tier Islamic State Khorasan operatives involved in the Kerman suicide bombing in Iran and the attack on the Crocus City Hall in Moscow. ISKP’s external operations cell was trying to establish itself in Pakistan but were arrested. These included an Afghan, Adil Panjsheri, Abu Munzir from Tajikistan and Kaka Younis from Uzbekistan. These were central figures in the recruitment, travel and funding of fighters and suicide bombers. BREAKING: The newly appointed Shadow Governor of the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan, Saqib Gandapur [Farman] was killed along with eight other affiliates in an Intelligence Based Operation with SSG troops earlier this morning a Senior Official said.The TTP also confirmed the killing. UPDATE: The operation for the High Value Target, Saqib Gandapur took place in Kulachi area of Dera Ismail Khan district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. The others killed in the operation have been identified as Commander Amanullah, Saeed and Liaqat. Five others who are possible foot soldiers are being identified, a senior official with direct knowledge told The Khorasan Diary.

TKD ECONOMY: Afghanistan’s exports decreased by $28 million dollars last month compared to the previous month, the National Statistics and Information Authority said in a statment. The statement added that Afghanistan exported goods of a sum of $162.2 million dollars in the ongoing year, while goods of a sum of more than $1 billion were imported from other countries. The officials stated that most of the exports were to India, Pakistan and UAE, while most imports came from Pakistan, China and Iran.

AFGHAN INTERIM GOVERNMENT CONFIRMS ‘ENHANCED’ DIPLOMATIC TIES WITH INDIA, NAJIB SHAHEEN TIPPED OFF AS HEAD OF MISSION IN NEW DELHI. Discussions are ongoing with India regarding the enhancement of Afghanistan’s diplomatic presence in New Delhi, the spokesperson of the Interim Afghan Government confirmed. The spokesperson, Zabihullah Mujahid, stated that bilateral discussions and efforts are ongoing between Afghanistan and India to strengthen diplomatic representation in both countries. “We hope to extend our diplomatic presence in New Delhi and India’s in Afghanistan,” he added. Recently, reliable sources in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs told The Khorasan Diary that a list of Afghan diplomats has been shared with the Government of India.
