‎It is always good to be prepared, and so we thought we would share what to expect during your antenatal visits when you are pregnant: ➡️ At your first visit, a full medical history will be taken. ➡️ You will be weighed, blood pressure and urine will be tested and blood will be taken. A nurse/midwife will do a full body check-up to make sure you are healthy. ➡️ You will receive a maternity record that you will need to bring every visit. This record will have all your pregnancy related information. Please keep it safe. If you have received any medication take it as explained by the nurse/midwife. ➡️ Follow-up visits will be monthly at the start of your pregnancy and more frequent closer to your due date. During these visits, you will be weighed, and your blood pressure and urine will be tested. A nurse midwite will do an examination of your belly, making sure your baby is growing well. ➡️Your nurse/midwife will be able to answer any questions about pregnancy. #pregnancyawarenessweek
