You can now plan cremations for your loved ones in Waltham Forest. On Tuesday 14 January, planning permission was granted for the new crematorium at Chingford Mount Cemetery on Old Church Road. It will be the first crematorium to ever exist in the borough, and features state-of-the-art filtration equipment that keeps the environment in mind. The new crematorium will provide access to essential services that support residents through times of bereavement and grief. Design plans include a serene chapel and beautifully landscaped gardens, where visitors can pause for quiet reflection 🤍 Construction is set to begin in summer 2025 with completion expected by summer 2026.
