*Justice for Prakriti Lamsal: KIIT University’s Negligence, Student Death, and the Threat to India-Nepal Relations:* The tragic death of Prakriti Lamsal, a Nepalese student at KIIT University, and the mistreatment of Nepali students afterward is not just an issue of university negligence—it is a serious humanitarian and diplomatic concern. The university failed to protect its students, and instead of addressing the issue with responsibility, it resorted to violence against protesting students and even asked Nepali students to vacate the campus. This is an insult to the students who came to India with trust, hoping for a safe environment to study. Such actions not only show a failure of the university but also risk damaging India-Nepal relations. Nepalese students come to India believing in the historical and cultural bond between the two countries, but incidents like this create distrust and resentment. If Indian institutions mistreat Nepali students, it will send a wrong message and can become a reason for tension between the two nations. The Indian government must step in immediately, not just to investigate the university’s failures but also to ensure that Nepalese students feel safe and respected in India. A student’s death should not be ignored, and the mistreatment of Nepali students must not be allowed to continue. Justice for Prakriti Lamsal is not just about one student—it is about proving that India values the lives and dignity of all students, including those from Nepal. If no strict action is taken, this will be remembered as a shameful moment in India’s treatment of its neighbors.
